What is Suzhou Embroidery?
'As the top of the four famous embroideries and the name card of the
representative intangible cultural heritage of China, Su embroidery has
exquisite craftsmanship, diverse themes, elegant colours'(Xu et al,
2023, p.20). Suzhou embroidery originated in Suzhou, Jiangsu Province,
and is one of the four famous embroideries in China. Its stitching
techniques are exquisite, adept at depicting flowers, birds, figures,
and landscapes, especially renowned for its "double-sided embroidery."
It is both a craft and a continuation of cultural aesthetics.
